Maxfactor Facefinity All Day Primer Review

Hi guys,

I have been using Revlon’s PhotoReady Primer for ages now and nothing has been able to tempt me away from it. However, when I saw the Maxfactor Facefinity All Day Primer in Superdrug and it was the last one on the stand, I decided I had to give it a try.

I have combination / oily skin and my foundation does tend to slide off during the day, especially in the t-zone area and so a primer is a must for me to keep my foundation in place. This is just what the Maxfactor primer promises to do with no side gimmicks to real you in such as add a bronzing glow, blur lines or hide pores and that suited me just fine. Maxfactor say they have taken the ingredient that makes the Facefinity Foundation so long wearing and made it into a product of its own so that your makeup will have the same staying power.

The consistency of this primer is a little more watery than the Revlon one but it blended into the skin really nicely and didn’t leave it feeling sticky or dull looking. I definitely noticed that my foundation lasted a good couple of hours or so longer than if I hadn’t used a primer and kept my skin looking matte for a lot longer. If I was comparing it to the Revlon primer however, I wouldn’t say there was much between them on this score and my makeup lasted about the same amount of time with both.

Overall I really love this primer and think the nicer formula just gives it the edge over the Revlon PhotoReady. I will definitely be buying it again and it's only £10.99 :)

Have you tried the Maxfactor Facefinitly All Day Primer? Which primer do you use?

Thanks for reading xx

  1. I just bought mine today. It's actually my first time to try MaxFactor. I just read in a makeup artist's blog that she swears by it, meaning the primer really does its job so well, the makeup wears for a number of hours more than the usual. I'll come back here to let you, folks, know how my experience went. Or I'll just post it in my blog :-)
